  1. I tried to order a pop-up bag today 9/8/24 and they are our of stock so do I still get the sale price when they come in?

  2. Laura Said, that she "called Sycamore trees London Plane trees", Sorry they are a very different tree, Unless you are talking about Amarican Sycamore though not the same they are still a different tree. Sycamore have seeds that come off in pairs, Plane trees have seeds that look more like small Horse Chesnut seeds and the leaf is different too.

  3. I googled and found your land plane video from 2022 – that's pretty darn awesome, and so efficient. Maybe I'll just rake my paths next time. 😉

  4. That horse barn, with formal path is just awesome! We had horses and my husband built a double stall mare motel from his own design, and we both welded it together…was so sad to leave it when we downsized . Do that design, it is epic!

  5. I love the color of mums in the fall but I’m with you, they don’t last long here in the Midwest and then I feel they need to be replaced. So I quit buying them for that very reason .
I chuckled to myself when one of your followers said Sycamore trees were wher favorite tree. At our first house we had two big Sycamore trees in the front yard and I so disliked them. They didn’t leaf out until late late spring and then is was always a dismal show of leaf canopy. But buy the end of summer we finally saw a huge crop of leaves on the trees. Then when the leaves dropped from the trees in the fall, the leaves were large enough to hurt a bit when they hit you. Raking them up was a major job! So no they definitely aren’t my favorite trees.

  6. Benjamin should be able to manage a camera in just a few years…get him started now🙂

  7. Can’t you sow some native prairie grass seed on the slope behind the barn? The roots will help to hold the hillside and prevent erosion.

  8. First time a plant that I can grow!! Chaste tree is indestructible here in Tucson AZ. It blooms beautifully…dies back in winter…comes back in spring. Doesn’t need much water. Love your channel!! 💚

  9. You know what would be fun? Benjamin taking us on a kid garden tour. Maybe picking his favorite spots and explaining about them. Of course Samantha can join in and add her flare! Your whole family is just precious!

  10. Thank you again for the time and effort to bring us the videos. I have learned a lot even though I have been gardening for years! Love all the content from gardening to antique shopping with your Mom and sister, and all in between. Can’t wait for all your fun projects to start!

  11. I love your videos!! You were an inspiration and also a saving grace! I lost my husband last year and while he was in and out of drs. offices and getting trearments I always watched them and gave me distraction! I'm still watching and enjoying all the goings on! Thank you!❤😊 for all the beauty you have brought to us all !!😊🫂🫂🙏

  12. Be prepared and have a plan for dealing with all the uneaten hay and the horse manure. That stuff geminates quickly. So much of your property is perfectly maintained, and this stuff can really mess with it. It piles up quickly, spreads seed, and the manure breaks down VERY slowly-to hot to spread on your flower beds for about a year. Be prepared to haul it off regularly and invest in a manure spreader to spread it over your pasture to mitigate the piles. FYI: those piles attract TONS of flies and wasps in the summer. Be prepared for that too.

  13. Well, maybe not everyday, but over the years having had 5 show horses, a couple ‘lawn ornaments’ and now an old, old pony….it likely averages out to $100 a day😂

  14. Laura, have you considered Sweet Gale, a shrub in the laurel family, that likes water. It's a wonderful tea unless you're expecting. You can also put the tea in a tub for itch from bug bites. ( Mosquito is Alaska's state bird ) -😊 Choose the male – leaves are long and narrow..

  15. 9:00 one idea about Saxifragaceae plants like Heuchera, Tiarella, Astilbe, Bergenia, and the like, are that they grow up on little stilt-like trunks. In Autumn, after the first frost, you can break these off in at least 3 inch cuttings, strip all but a few leaves, and poke them into the good soil or the mulch around the original rosette (or better yet, in your unheated greenhouse/coldframe). If you have good luck, they'll root; the original plant will have been pinched back to favor several low buds–more attractive. The patch becomes densely planted–otherwise they just grow up and flop over, or die back if they dry out in winter or get crown rot from too much moisture. You'll notice these plants will trail along the ground on big floppy stalks especially on banks or in dry shade.

  16. in the south garden, in that little "circle" of blank space all the way in the back, why not put a little hidden room?

  17. I overwinter geraniums in my unheated garage (it is insulated, though) by a window. I have done them in the basement near a window. I water them over the winter by putting ice cubes around the edges for a slow melt. I am in Central Indiana. And it has worked every time. Saves me a lot of money on buying geraniums. 🙂
