I was given this neglected potted two stem cactus by a neighbor that was moving away.
I see some nice bright new green in the two weeks since I watered it, so, that's good.I see dead stuff on top of the soil. For potting soil I have coco cour, bone meal, sand, compost, perlite, and vermiculite.
Couple questions. Should I just keep in this pot and remove the dead vegetation from the top of the pot? What portions of ingredients goes into potting for this plant? I bet I should not use Vermiculite for this succulent. What fertilizer and how much should I put into potting soil? Should I break the roots into two separate stems or disturb roots minimally and keep as a two-in-o ne? Is this low pot good big enough if repotting one of these stems?
Also, what species of Euphorbiaceae is this?
