Not enough light is causing them to elongate to try to get more sun
Watered while splitting, causing the reabsorption of the old leafs to stop mid split.
Besides slowly incorporating more light, to avoid burning the new growth, I would just leave it and water/care for it as normal. Time is the best fix imo
