  1. I'd be interested to see if there is anymore seeding that could be done before the new year? Not much of anything has grown for me, but I'm willing to try pretty much anything at this point…..

  2. Love foraging my Welsh Naine ( Grandma) taught me how to take a hooked handled walking stick to pick those berries just out of arms reach 🥰 happy memories children love foraging too .
Wondered Ivan have you ever tried any electro culture gardening ?
People are getting great results the Victorians used it tapping into the earths magnetic field using copper and magnets the crops are huge 🧲

  3. The pepper are doing well probably better than last years your doing better all round growing veg than when you grew in the greenhouses do you think that

  4. It always astounds me that anyone feels the need to buy a blackberry punnet at the shop since brambles are everywhere in the countryside! Only as I have found, if you pick them on a roadside, rinse them like ten times to get them properly clean.

  5. Nice one Ivan, great for freezing. My tomatoes are slow this year, I'm hoping I'm going to get some soon, they're still small yet, I've stripped the leaves off so hopefully that will help. Everyone has had a slow start I think. Harvested my new potatoes today, not weighed them yet I'll do that tomorrow. Thanks for the update Ivan, always interesting…

  6. managed to pick a kilo of blackberries today from a purposely left bush at the allotment…they’ll be jam tomorrow

  7. Thanks Ivan, great update and what a bargain, free blackberries waiting to be harvested. I'll be watching the harvest of the Chantonet carrots as I've got some growing in a pot and some onions in a washbowl. Take care and all the best. Stevie

  8. A great book on foraging is `The Foragers Calendar` by John Wright. He is the guy who goes out into the forest with Hugh in river Cottage.Quite a funny read as well with good photos of the plants and fungi you can forage throughout the year.

  9. I have already 2kgs of blackberries in the freezer and still picking on my daily walk.

  10. I love blackberries but they usually have tiny little grubs in them.not ate them for years because of them. Used to soak them in warm water and you can see thwm all dead in it😢

  11. We used to collect blackberries in the 50s as kids, mums made jam, pies, the neighbourhood smelled of pie and jam. 60s the council decided to make our dead end road a through road, goodbye blackberries.
