I used to have this pump hooked up to a misting system on my growtent. I moved recently and when setting things up, I noticed my old pump was not working(I had not used it in forever and it likely ran dry). I went ahead and ordered a new one but when it got here I noticed it did not come with a power supply. I took the power supply from the old pump and wired it to the new pump. Everything looked good but I went to hook up this pump, I ran into a new problem. The new pump I ordered requires 1/2” tubing to be clamped around the connector, I am using 1/4” MistKing line and need them to “snap” in like a typical T or L fitting. When looking at the old pump, I noticed that it has a 1/4” fitting but it is threaded over a piece that is 1/2”. My question is do I restart and buy a new pump that fits my exact needs, or do I tinker with this one some more and make it work. I want to work on this one, both for fun and to save a little bit but I want to get some opinions on how I can go about doing it. I included pictures of the connectors, I’m not sure that I can do anything with them, but we’ll see. If I cannot, I’m thinking my next option is to figure out how to connect 1/2 inch tubing to 1/4 inch tubing. In this case the pump will only be used to mist 8 Ten gallon poison froglet growouts, just 8 nozzles, low PSI. If you need more information to work with, please ask. Any help is much appreciated – Matt

Just unthread the 1/2″ and switch to 1/4″
Most pumps that I’ve seen have a 1/2-in outlet. I run mine from the pump to my fountains using 1/2 in, and then I have 1/2 in to 1/4-in adapter T’s at each of the fountains and run a quarter inch line up into my fountains. It’s the same thing with misting and other basic water lines.
