What plant is this? I am not sure how to revive it. Stem seems fine, not mushy. Had 4/5 leaves until yesterday when they started dropping. I suspected dehydration so put it in moist soil mix. Then noticed over watering signs so pulled it out. Seems to have roots. Any advice? Close to a west facing windows with sheer blinds

I would remove the leaves and put the stick in a prop box. A container with a lid that has either moistened soil, perlite, or stagnum moss. The lid will help create humidity for the stick to sprout roots and new growth.

I don’t see any roots on this guy yet. It takes a couple of weeks for them to form.

Edit: just lay the stick in there, you don’t need to bury it.
