  1. It's so hot here in Oregon with all the fires and no rain. I sure wish we had rain,, lots of rain. Fires will go out.
I'm so glad you have all the rain.

  2. I inherited my dad's grey hair and started coloring my dark hair in my 20's. Fast forward and I was having to color it every 2-3 weeks because I had so much grey and my hair grew so fast. In 2021, my momma was passing from glioblastoma and I was her caretaker. I was unable to color my hair and sitting with her one day, I decided I was done. I decided to let the grey come in. And boy, did it! It took me a little over a year to fully grow it out, but my hair is white (not grey). Not that I fish for them, but I've received so many compliments since then! It was so freeing to make that decision and I have never regretted it since. Blessings.

  3. I stopped coloring my hair in 2020. It's a beautiful grey that ppl pay lots of money for. God has blessed me with a beautiful crown.

  4. Thanks Jess… I finally gave up the color last year and so glad that I did… I am, what I a. 🙂

  5. Listening to you speak about time passing … And realizing that its now been 6 or 7 years that you are my favorite "tv show"!

  6. I love having access to the videos from years back. I still watch some from time to time. But what i started a few months back was make a folder with videos of your Arkansas garden. I have a granddaughter aged 23. She is beginning to show some interest in gardening. I will be sharing this folder with her. I think the Arkansas garden will be a better fit for her right now. She will need to start small. Your new farm would be overwhelming for her. She will be encouraged by your arkansas videos. I believe they will be perfect for her. Im sure she will watch some of your current videos also. But your arkansas garden will be her beginner's guide. Thanks for all you do.

  7. Jess….your transparency on the going grey is MUCH appreciated. I’m 52 and was coloring every 5 weeks to keep my auburn locks rocking. As I leaned into more “natural” choices in my life I realized coloring my hair was not waning with my more natural lifestyle.
Thank you. Good to call you friend.

  8. I always tell people that comment about aging, that it’s a privilege to grow old. I’ve had multiple family memories die far too early and it’s completely changed my outlook on aging. It’s a privilege to grow old ♥️

  9. I finally accepted my gray 3-4 yrs ago- I’m 58. I figured I’ve earned that gray with all the BS life handed me. It’s a reminder that I survived the BS & proud of it. 😊😊

  10. I've followed you for a long time…& I've been a hairdresser for 40 years..I appreciate your choice to go natura .l but I'm soooo thankful for my clients.❤.. cause hair color helps me pay my bills… I'm self-employed

  11. Beauty comes through from the soul, in my opinion! You have are beautiful, no matter what! Thanks for sharing your thoughts & your lifestyle. 🤗🇨🇦

  12. I'm 51 and was diagnosed with colon cancer at 39. I don't fret over the gray , wrinkles, scars, saggy places bc I could of died at 39. I do dye my hair bc my husband wants it dyed . It is currently needing dyed and my gray has really multiplied. I will dye it bc I love him. I have hair to be thankful for. People get so hung up on holding on to youth but who said aging is bad.i like who I am. I like that I'm know my own strength. I don't really care what others feel. I had a coworker recently say her husband needed to loose weight because she just wasn't attracted to big people . I was a bit in shock and I said I guess I'm in a different place in my life. What if my husband said I'm not attracted to u anymore bc I had cancer and now live with a colostomy and scars all over my stomach. He has never looked at me different. I said I am attracted to my husband because I love the way he loves me. Looks are fleeting love is so much more

  13. I’ve always said..I’d rather my hair turn gray than turn loose! I’ve got the Elvira stripes going on at my temples. You are beautiful Jess!

  14. I had grown out my hair to natural . I was white. I have had a little gray since was 18.Hubby was not a fan. So I started coloring mine again. I loved the natural look.

  15. One of the best decisions I ever made was to go grey. Yes I had the skunk stripe but only for awhile & once it grew out & blended with the rest I had so many women stop me & compliment me for going grey. Let alone the money you save. I too believe we should age naturally as god made us. And I've luckily had a husband that supports those same views. You go girl! It will be beautiful on you!❤

  16. Going grey is so liberating. Colouring is personal and you had reasons to start colouring, now reasons to stop. Hair grows and still can be styled and cut. So little has changed beyond the colour. A woman’s hair is her glory. Embrace and enjoy the change. You’re beautiful and more than the colour of your hair.

  17. I have started going grey and am fine with it but I also heard there is a correlation with hair coloring and breast cancer in women. Let it go grey and avoid the chemicals Jess, You are beautiful from the inside out!

  18. Yes! I’m 51 and have been dying my hair for maybe 20 years! But the last 8 years I’ve totally transformed my life in how I eat, what I drink, the products I use etc…My health is high priority!
I realized that chemically dying my hair no longer aligned with my personal values. So, about a year ago I decided to go natural! Similar to you, I wasn’t thrilled about the “grow-out” phase, so I’ve been using henna to color my hair as it grows out. Where the gray is covered up, it just looks like highlights! Now I’m starting to use the henna less often, allowing the grey to show more and it’s blending quite nicely! Thanks for sharing with us like you do!
