Started this avocado a few weeks ago and wasn't 100%certain if it's ready for soil yet or not, I know your supposed to wait for roots to have roots but I'm concerned about the stem not getting enough light.

YES! And you can even do a bonsai with it
any pot. i would recommend putting that root down but leaving the top part of the seed sticking out of the soil a bit.
