what are you using for mulch around you beds ? It looks a reddish color
I bought some Cow Horn Okra from you. The first set of direct planted seeds did not come up. Put in another set a couple weeks ago. Nothing so far on those. My Emerald Okra came up. Store bought Jumbolia plants are doing well. At least I know what to look for.
I honestly couldn't figure out the difference between santa fe granda and Havasu…Havasu is hybrid huh
I'm down to peppers, sweet taters, eggplant and basil
❤❤❤
I put my walking onions from bulbils in the spring and I have bulbils on my onions and they're fallen over and the bulbils are rooting. I'm having to water them every other day as the rain keeps missing us
A few of my Egyptian Walking Onions (maybe about 1/4 of them) that I got from you last Fall (and planted around the same time that I received them) did develop the bulbs up top. But I went ahead and harvested them all and hope to replant this Fall.
Jeff from East Tennessee. This year i just grow what I call the big four!! Tons of tomatoes and cucumbers!! The okra and peppers are kicking in!! Got cayenne, bell, banana, and a no heat habanero. A stuffing pepper and sans fe grande! All are loaded up!
It’s been extremely dry and a kinda hot summer. I have had to water oceans of water this year. Just watering day after day to keep up! Now on July 17 we are heading into a wet spell!! Thank God!! So far the garden is an A grade!! I have put out a lot of late tomatoes!! If these can make it then garden will be an A+ grade! Also, I have some monster sized tomatoes. Lots and lots!!
I mean a 2ft long parsnip would make a cool thumbnail lol
Send some of that rain up here to North GA cause we need it bad!!
I'm glad your purple tomatoes are doing well – I was curious to see how they handle the south. I'm in 6b and they are pumping out tomatoes. I think maybe a couple hundred on one plant.
My walkers didn't make bulbels until the second summer.
Youtube unsubscribed me.
My onions are practically running. Transplanted 2.5 seasons ago. Probably around this time three years ago.
my waling onions make bubils on year 1 even the real small ones try. yours are confusing me , they dont look same , I am begining to wonder if mistake happened and you got something different. could be your climate maybe, perhaps they need cold ( real cold not like you get hahaha) to stimulate that aspect. I get -40s and in spring they start growing through snow as it melts as first green things of the year.
My first batch of Egyptian Walking Onions took 2 years to get the baubles. But oddly when I planted the baubles last fall they have tons of baubles on them this year. No idea why the first ones too 2 years but these only took 1 year. All I can think is that maybe they need to over winter to get the baubles. FYI: My purple tomatoes are producing like crazy. So far everyone I have given some to loves them. We all agree that the skin seems kinda thick but the tomato flavor is great with a little salt.
The egyptian walking onions I got from you last year have been bulbing on the tops for about three months now. So the two years is definitely a negative.
My product bobbles the first season
I just picked my first GMO purple tomatoes! They’re not ‘outstanding’, taste-wise, but I don’t know if our constant rain has anything to do with it or not. Beautiful purple color inside!
My walkers started growing in April and they are already walking… 🙈 😂 Three levels and they are beautiful ❤
@LazyDogFarm How do you keep the leaf footed bugs off of your maters? 🍅
Will you share how to use a Georgia peach pit to try and start a peach tree. Thank you! Love your information and tips!
Seeds from peppers are NOT hot! Quite sure that too much rain may affect the heat factor though!
I bought my walking onions from you and I got the bulbs to produce last winter. They have been growing great for me.
Travis, I got my Egyptian walking onions from you last year and they’ve been walking for a few months already.
I'm one of the people that only tastes soap from any basil I've ever tried. I grow it for help with pests.
Some critter tore a hole in the tulle I have over my sweet potato vines and ate the leaves off maybe an 8th of what I'm growing. I think it was a bunny the barn cat missed. I didn't know they could tear through tulle.. little buggers.
I'm going to need more hardware cloth.. sigh
My peppers are just blooming.. some of them anyway. I'm over by Vidalia.
They were a little late going in.. had to restart, twice. Germination this year was abysmal.
My tiny tomatoes this year are sweet millions.. so good.
I had two different worm problems with the tomatoes.. one may have been a caterpillar. Since I put basil under most of my tomato plants.. no more worms. knocks wood
I wish I could get sunflowers going, direct seeded.. birds get them every time. Drives the poor barn cat nuts.. too many to focus on one
What about the slicer tomatoes? Still producing for you? Determinates? Indeterminates (non cherry)? Enjoyed the vid Travis.
Chile Rellenos with fresh salsa. Those poblanos are so delicious, made a batch on Monday.
I have Egyptians, probably correct on two yrs, mine are four yrs, sometimes separate sometimes not, have left them there entire time winter and all.
Hey Travis, last couple weeks has been hot here in California. We had 115 116 our humidity is only in the 20s usually but I’ve pulled my tomatoes. They’re done that turkey creek tomato is awesome number one there thank you.
I bought the walking onions from you last year, I planted them in the fall and now have bulbs bending down to ground and walking! Zone 5a
My GMO tomato plants are over 6ft tall here in 6b WV and are absolutely loaded with fruit! I pick them when the fruit are nearly jet black. Even if picked a little early when a dark brown color, give them a few days to sit and they darken and flavor up nicely. I can't describe the flavor but they're delicious!
You’re treatin those onions too well. They need a trigger😁 mine were planted a little everywhere & not with friends. They r all bulbing.
Makes sense Travis with the walking onions being an allium😊
Getting Bulbuls on soft neck garlic a very strange sight, the come out from the 3rd leaf.
So BUMMED! My first potato crop in a new 4 x 8 raised bed and many have wireworms! Have you ever dealt with this issue? I’m in northeastern Ohio…
Hey Travis,
Can I grow 2 different super sweet Varieties of corn together??
Such as Nirvana and Peaches & Cream or will they have cross pollination issue?
thanks trav
My second planting of cowhorn okra finally grew beautiful plants, but I am still not seeing any blooms.
Everglades tomatoes are like tomato candy. Put some mayo in pita pocket. Add a handful of tomatoes, salt and pepper. Delicious!
