I sure hope you try and dry those blooms, they are gorgeous!!!
I personally couldn't grow an artichoke and not eat it. 😂
Ha ha Aaron’s reaction and the angels rejoice that was great
You're supposed to be able to save the root and winter it over. Was it possible with these?
Something’s up either with YouTube or my phone, but lately I haven’t been getting notifications for my Garden Answer videos. No matter, I go looking for them.
I knew this morning when I saw you ripping out the artichokes, that Aaron would be happy to see them go. The cats fighting was startling. Like demons from the netherworld. Then the “ripping theme” was continued with ripping apart grass plants. Kind of amazing that plants can survive and even appreciate that kind of treatment.
Please, everyone enduring the scorching hot temps this month, please be safe and keep hydrated! 💚💚💚
It's been such a pleasure, these past few years, watching you and your family transform that property into a little slice of heaven. Augusta Georgian here🥰
I love to eat artichokes, so I was surprised to see them past the picking stage. You must not like to eat artichokes. It was interesting to see them grow, but they aren't a very attractive plant.
20:18 Russell… is me in summer.
So sad to see the artichokes come out.😢 But they sure had a good run.
I appreciate your honesty.
Wahooo!!! I’m with Aaron. While the artichokes were cool they just didn’t fit the beauty of the Hartley. I’d love to see you experiment and see if you can grow some shorter dahlias in there through the winter. I agree with Aaron that it would be so beautiful filled with flowers. 😊💕🌺🌸
I love that grass! Do either Paul or Bethany have gardens? Could we see their gardens if they consent. They do so much at your place so I’d love to see what they’ve done at theirs.
I love my milk jugs plants every year
Purple hydrangeas will be nice too
Suncredible sunflowers would be pretty in the cold frames.
Cosmos with the soft foliage would be so gorgeous in the Hartley cold frames!
I agree with Aaron!! Can't wait to see the new flowers!!
Hate to see the artichokes go😢… but every great plant has it time to shine and they were a great while they lasted ..very whimsey💕 with all this said can you please share the variety of artichoke you planted ?
We had an extension agent come speak to our MasterGardener group. He talked about the blond ambition grass. I love seeing how it looks in its full glory.
Don't you just love when an experiment works out❤. Not to mention the cost saving
Thanks Laura! 🌱🪴
Great job with the artichokes looks much better. Fantastic amount of grasses. T posts look good. Thanks again for sharing this with us.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I am off watering duty today…..it’s 🌧️ raining ☔️.
I love when you are working around the Hartley. It is so beautiful..💚💐
Just an FYI…..NE Ohio this morning 7-17-24, 70 F and 83% humidity at 8am. ☹
That weed with the artichokes was living its best life….
You are a boss! So much accomplished in so little time!
I put mini-peat pots in the bottom of my winter sowing jugs. It makes separating the seedlings much quicker and easier
