I love Andrew’s! So happy I was able to stop in again while on our road trip. Our family is the same regarding shoes being ok in the house and using coasters is a must!
Laura, I moved into Senior Housing with limited space and no gardening. I am grateful but…I miss the gardening. You help me fulfill both urges. Collecting and planting . Thanks to you and your family I can be Content in my little corner of the world.
Laura..I loved this video!! So informative and beautiful flowers and plants 🪴 too!! Have a great day too!!❤😊
What a very wonderful treat this was! So very many beautiful things!! And you both do a wonderful job at touring and it is fun to see what draws each of your eyes. Thank you for the longer tour and interesting banter!
🎉THE COREOPSIS LIVES🎉
I have 2 in my lower terrace. I’ve been debating all year if they are a weed or plant??? Everytime I debate “🧐But, there are 2 of them, very similar, planted symmetrically…🧐” I have googled a picture of them and it came up as Goldenrod this morning, I went to the base to pull them and I just couldn’t do it. I thought, “ Okay. After I get back from SLC I’m gonna pull ‘em if they haven’t revealed themselves!”🤷🏻♀️ Then you & your mom buzzed past some and put a name to them!
🎉🎉😅 SAVED😅🎉🎉
They both cackle the exact same….
The swing can be near the kids swing set. It is really pretty
Laura, I never had much “love” for begonias but I must say you are bringing me around to try some. I especially loved your shade hanging plant arrangements you made with them.
This video had so many things, walking us through the nursery and inside the shop. Loved the ferns and the tiny plants! Monica is so funny in the morning! Always fun with your mom, a great family! Even got a walk through from dad! Love your videos.
I moved my roses and the new places I have 1 white roses the old spot was red 😂
LOVE YOUR MOTHERS HAIR HOW DOSE SHE CURL IT
You both wore me out…..but I love you, says this 80 year old….who must now go and take a nap….except I have bills to pay….so must run…asap…my husband is on the computer…so must do some more laundry..we are high desert, too and ours does the same as yours, but some of the people only a little north of us in Paso Robles ,Ca had 116 on Saturday…ours was 106 just 15 minutes south on 101 Frwy.❤
Do you have a website for your parent’s shop? Would they post to NZ?
You two sound like sisters when Laura says "can I tell dad " 🤣😉
I would love to have seen the birdies!
I also would love to have your parents shop nearby! I would be there weekly!
Our mornings (central FL) start at around 82 degrees (the high humidity holds the heat over night), and as soon as the sun comes up, we are in the upper 80s. An hour later, 90s and it just gets hotter and hotter all day. With the humidity, our "feels like" temps are in the 100s, though our actual temperature does not usually get up there. I wait for rain, and then afterwards (or sometimes during, if there's no lightning and it's light rain) run out and do some weeding or planting while it's a bit cooler and the ground is softer. Failing that, I wait until after 7:30 to go out….but I still sweat after 5 minutes….it just rolls off you! However, I console myself with the thought that the humidity is good for my skin and hair!
I love the video that you do with your Mom she is such a gem so happy her laugh is contagious ! It has been so hot and the humidity is awful in Pennsylvania! Upper 90 s heat index over 100!
I love tours of the nursery with Susan. She is so special. ❤
The insect you and your mom were trying to name is called a "firefly" or as we in Pennsylvania call them, "lightning bugs". My sister-in-law, who was born and has lived her whole life in Idaho, loved to visit us here in PA in the summer because she liked to watch the lightning bugs.
Good thing I live in Massachusetts because I wouldn't be able to control myself! Susan your garden center is the largest I've ever seen and everything looks so fresh and vibrant even in the heat you are having. Thanks to Laura for taking us along! 🌼
I hear birds in the back ground, can you show us next time
So just a heads up, Virginia Creeper is native to a large portion of the lower 48 states (though not to Oregon) so by definition, it can't be called invasive though it can be aggressive. It's actually a really great vine for wildlife, both for pollinators and birds.
I’m so jealous – it seems our garden centers are starting to empty out and they don’t replenish them. Your garden center looks so bright and beautiful. It’s always so much fun to see you and your mom together.
Hi Laura, I love your channel. I especially love when you do the Andrews tour and we get to see your mom and dad. Your Mom and dad's place gives me so many ideas. What is the name of the company that makes the square pots?
LAURA!!!!!!! SORRY FOR YELLING, IT'S JUST FOR ATTENTION! 😀 Anyways. Planted virginia creeper next to our concrete wall 3-4 years ago. When it blooms, bees go crazy, they love it so much. Then the birds eat the fruit. And THEN I started to find SEEDLINGS under every plant (birds…). Hundreds of seedlings! They are easily pullable, but I consider them weedy even on a 4th of an acre. My virginia creeper lives next to a concrete wall, mind you (concrete sucks up every drop of water), almost never watered, and happy as a clam. The seedlings are under or near other plants that are watered, but some popped places where I don't water at all. Zone 5b-6, rainy spring ,very hot and dry summer, just like yours. So be very mindful with it, it can be your next "That not was supposed to happen!" sumac, but this one can fly. 😀 My solution is to cut down the flowers after they are spent (sorry birds), so before the fruiting, but I think you want it next to your basketball court, not sure how high you can reach.
Hahaha had to laugh at 38:20. Reminded me of something my daughter & I go thru…often! I'm so bad with words and the older I get the more forgetful I am! Love this video! You two are so funny! Have a wonderful day!
Wonderful stroll thru the nursery with mom!
You two cracki me up. Ohhh Ahhh all ovewr the place. And all the giggles. You are blessed to have each other.
Hi Laura, enjoyed the tour Thanks foe sharing
All the fresh foliage made the garden center look so cool and inviting. A place to get lost in all it's beauty. You all do a wonderful job of making your business so inviting, with so much to explore. I could spend hours there next looking around.
Just what the doctor ordered.. a peaceful, green therapy session. I love to "shop" along with you, your mom, and Monica. Please tell her I love when she joins the fun.👋🥀🌻☀🪴😎
Is the horse fountain about the size that you would be considering to put in your brick patio area? Or the center of your cut flower garden?
Your Dad sounds just like my husband.. he moans about my plant purchases but he is outside everyday making sure everything is watered and looking good! He loves plants as much as I do
I love shopping with you & your Mom! Plants or antiques- I’m in. ❤
Laura, your mother’s hair looks especially beautiful today.
Laura I live in East Tennessee and would do a road trip just to go through your mom garden center.
Love the tour so much fun. I’m a year round gardener when it gets hot I head out early in the morning it’s peaceful and the birds are singing.
You two!💕 Love your videos together walking, talking and loving all your beautiful plants! So special! I love learning and seeing all the plants. One day I would love to design a garden. So many pretty options.
Did you say what type of hydrangeas your mom almost bought before switching to the little quick fires? They had so many blooms!!
❤Love the video! How do I get one of those globes, with the dragonfly’s?
I love your videos with your mom! I so appreciate how they keep The Garden Center so richly stocked. Our main garden center in Olympia has about a month of full choices, then June hits and it starts getting pretty sparse. Pretty much rolled up for the year now, with exception of some trees. I too am a year round garden girl and empty garden centers feel like walking into a mortuary.
Laura…I just love your Mom🩷 This was the most relaxing, beautiful trip at the garden center! Something I have always loved doing!😊
Oh boy, that’s hot! Why the long sleeves and jeans in that heat, ladies?!
So touching that we can all be here for you. So sorry for your loss. As a mother, I can’t imagine the grief you are going through. Hope you can continue to find solace in gardening. ❤
Oh Laura, your mom's garden center is so incredible and if I knew that these beautiful plants and things could survive in my state which is Idaho then I would have a trip there and pick up a bunch of gorgeous things in her shop that I love seeing, and some outside beautiful things. Thanks so much for this great video, have a beautiful and blessed day, sending love and hugs, bye!! 😂😊😍🙏🙏👍💜💜💜
Hi Laura! What is the name of the hydrangea that your Mom originally tagged? It's so pretty!
Your parents' Garden Center is gorgeous–everything looks so beautiful and healthy. Hearing you and your Mom get excited about all the pretty plants is sweet and it gets me excited! Have you dealt with vercillium wilt at all? Your Mom mentioned powdery mildew and I was glad to hear about that, but wondering if there is anything that can be done about vw?
Love love love this video! And those little plants at 51:30….oh my goodness! 😍
I still planting, especially with all the perennials and bulb plants going on clearance. In the morning I’m watering and had to deal with squash bugs and cucumbers beetles. Next is seeding indoors. Bought my first succulents today. I wish I lived near your parent’s store. Thank you for the tour. 🤗❤🪴
I Love these video's with your Mom! and if I lived alot closer , I would for sure shop at your parents garden center, everything looks sooo healthy!!
Monica is so cute when she suddenly appears.
