Starting plans for my greenhouse and I have no idea where to put it. Most of my yard is full sun all day. Very little shade. The north side yard is my septic system and I’m pretty sure I can’t put it there. Behind the house is a fenced in dog yard with shed. The front is pretty busy and I don’t want anything blocking the hill with my arbor… Help!

For me, a greenhouse was simply to protect my fig trees during the winter and start seedings very early spring. I had no intentions of using mine past spring. If it were my property, I’d be looking at building a tunnel on your N pad and maybe not permanently due to septic…I always look for the best exposure to a south facing sun for winter. Really depends on what your expectations from your greenhouse and your climate. I only get 2 weeks of cold winter and may 30 nights of freezing temps.
What zone are you in and what do you hope to accomplish in your future greenhouse. Power and water ?
North side with one long wall facing south.
Not an expert, but if you live in the Northern hemisphere, I’d put it on the North section.
What about that nice green area at the top NW of the driveway?
Edit: Looks like that part might be outside of the leach field
On the bottom edge of the N that way the shadow of the house does not effect it and you get the longest east to west exposure.
You want southern exposure to get the most sun. If you make it semi permanent, you can make it so you can access the septic. As long as you have access to the pump out, I would think it could go on your septic. The type and cost of the greenhouse are important too.
Take advantage of the most morning sun
U must be stupid .
North side facing south. You have tons of room. Just make sure you can keep it cool in the hot months lol
There’s a great app you can get that will literally show you the path of the sun every day off the year from a given position. I like sun surveyor, but there are others.
