Pardon the car floor filth. We cleared out the brush and scrap from behind my dad's garage this weekend and decided to do away with the 20yr+ rotting quarterpipe of my youth as it was tip to tail in nature, talking grass growing up from the blacktop, crumbling just standing there and worms living in the sunken wood base…
I gotta know – how should I go about preserving the already existing life this piece of wood hosts, and then how shall I go about crafting a mossarium so that it's practically self-sustaining? Or am I missing a whole buncha principles here? Excited to start my own little container garden thang here and want to get it right. Thanks!

I’d say put it in a terrarium!
