Hello friends, you may remember my plant from my previous post re:droopy leaves.
I since gave it a good water (from the bottom), and it perked up a little. I therefore concluded it needed watering more often, and bottom-watered it again after 4 days. The soil felt very dry on top and bottom so I reasoned it needed it. That was 5 days ago.
In between, I discovered aphids on the flowers and after trying to remove them all physically for a while, I sprayed them with "SB plant invigorator and bug killer". I took care to sheild the leaves and only spray the flowers, and dried everything off so there was no pooling liquid. That was 2 days ago.
Last night, plant was fine- nice firm leaves. Today, the leaves have suddenly become super soft, like floppy velvet. They haven't changed colour or anything (yet?). The soil feels damp on the bottom, but bone dry on top.
I panicked and thought it was root rot, so I removed some damp soil from the bottom to inspect the roots. I've no idea what I'm looking at.
Is this root rot? Did I over-water? Was it the bug spray? Should I re-pot? Should I wait?
Thanks in advance, much appreciated!

It looks fine but you need to start top watering it asap if only half the soil is taking in water. Half of it’s root system is likely severely dehydrated.
