Truncata tends to make some fugly hybrids when crossed with retuse leaf species. However, the Lime Green cultivar can make some really nice ones right out the gate. I’ve seen some really cool Lime Green x splendens in the past. Also, using truncata early on can lead to some really nice traits showing up later on in those lineages. I know George Theodoris has used truncatas in several of his crosses, but it’s usually early in the process.
