I can’t believe it, but these two plants seem to have grafted together in about a week and a half. I used a patch bud, and despite the misalignment at the bottom, it seems to have took and the bud is showing growth. This was the quickest and easiest graft that I have made yet. I will be using it more in the future.
I was thinking about doing the opposite next time, by grafting a fiddle leaf scion onto a common fig rootstock. Hopefully this would increase the cold tolerance of the plant and allow me to leave it outside in Louisiana all winter long. Is there any chance that this could work?
