  1. Yes… plant the boxwoods around the cut flower quadrants… it would be so beautiful with the garden shed

  2. 80 plants down to 26 I think that’s amazing. Half of the plants you get from cheap or free so if you wanted to plant 100 it’s your garden.💯💯💯😂😂😂
Great recap. Love Arons knowledge now he has definitely improved from before. Great job Aron.
Thanks again for sharing this with us. Appreciated. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

  3. You should do whatever you want to do, of course. I and others saying the boxwood idea in the cut flower area seems out of character were just making an observation that you had said that was an informal area. 🤷‍♀️
Boxwood hedges don’t seem informal. HOWEVER, if you now want to turn that into a west side vibe, I have no doubt you can and will make it fantastic. I’ve watched Garden Answer from the beginning and know that you are a can do person, Laura.

  4. Nor sure where to ask questions. I would like update on your grape tree. Mine was getting lots of growth at top, do I cut off to keep it shorter?

  6. I think you already figured out how to have the boxwood hedges but also make it accessible with tillers in case you need it, so I say (chanting)📣PLANT THE HEDGE…PLANT THE HEDGE!!📣Love you both. Thanks for being awesome "friends in my head". You certainly help me through the week. I'm one of those night owls waiting on the members to be able to watch the vids first! Happy Sunday!

  7. Although you are not doing the college. Would you do a tour. Some of us long time watchers. Know the efforts of Rosa and crew and enjoy the permanent chances like all the rose bushes you added.
    Anyhow, just an idea.

  8. I think that surrounding those beds with boxwoods and a fountain in the middle would be astoundingly beautiful!!! With the potting shed and the orchard?? Oh my gosh, it’s like a dream to even think about!! ❤️💫🌸💫❤️

  9. I had some Supertunia Bordeaux and Supertunia Royal Magenta self seed this year. I'm letting them do their thing to see what happens. So far, the Supertunia Bordeaux is purple with a little hint of pink and the Supertunia Royal Magenta is the same color. However, I noticed that the plants have a lot more foliage and bigger leaves. The blooms are still beautiful though and I will enjoy them. Thank you, Mother Nature! 🥰

  10. Laura, you did talk about the new placement of the horses and barn. As well as the red barn being storage. Don't second question yourself. Your always very informative. Speaking of the boxwoods, surround the fireplace area with boxwoods, so it looks like a room.

  11. Hey there! Love your videos. A great tip to get rid of garlic smell on your hands….wash your hands with warm water and soap and rub your hands on stainless steel. I usually use a spoon. It sounds crazy but it works. Have a great day and happy gardening!

  12. Russell would be a polydactyl cat also nicknamed Hemingway cat. The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum is home to approximately 60 polydactyl (six-toed) cats. Check out the info on google it’s informative.

  13. I wear vinyl gloves when I deal with stinky stuff either in the kitchen or in the garden. In the garden I sometimes wear garden gloves on top .

  14. Maple trees produce a baseline volume of seeds each year but every few years they produce a large amount of seeds (mast year) – it's an evolutionary adaptation to help trees reproduce successfully. It helps overcome the seed predators like squirrels, mice, etc., so more seeds will have a chance to germinate and grow. You will see this in other trees as well, such as oaks, walnut trees, etc.

  15. I don’t know if you answer questions from these particular videos. But if you put a hedge around your cut garden area, I’m curious if it would block access for getting compost in there and your wood chip ground cover paths. Would you leave all four corners open for access? What are your thoughts on the design? Just curious!

  16. Give me a break people! This is a garden channel! She works for proven winners so basically every video is a commercial for proven winners (and Espoma) she gets all those products at proven winners and Espoma expense. Of course the average consumer wouldn’t plant 85 Superbena. Stop watching instead of complaining and judging! I have got more joy from these videos for years! Since way before Benjamin was born! I can’t imagine a start to my day without a video and coffee! I now enjoy dig plant water repeat and Janey posts on Saturday too! I don’t watch the news! Enjoy happy videos instead 👏🏼💜👍🏻🌺💐🤞🌹🩵

  17. Thank you Aaron & Laura for the great re cap. I watch all your videos and the re cap questions and the answers are so welcome. Love the hole in the shirt part. Glad you brush off all the unnecessary comments.
    Keep on filming.❤❤❤❤

  18. My parents taught me from young, never stick your nose in someone else's dreams. Your paid property, your dreams, that make you happy. I can't believe people even put their opinion's in of what you should or shouldn't grow. No manners. Cheers from Canada 🙂

  19. Gardening is not an inexpensive hobby – just as crafting, sewing, fishing, golfing, hunting are not inexpensive. Everyone must live within their means and financial ability to support and sustain their interests. Priorities such as housing, utilities, transportation, insurance obviously come first. Discretionary expenses are just that – YOU decide what to spend on "extras" and if you choose to buy plants instead of a new black shirt – good for you! I won't tell my friend who quilts that she doesn't need another yard of fabric to add to her stockpile if she won't tell me I don't need that Bubblegum Supertunia.

  20. Would boxwood hedges be too limiting in terms of being able to access those quadrants? What about planting evergreens of some sort and leaving space between so you could walk between them?

  21. Most proven winners plants aren't bred by proven winners. The surefire begonia series I think is just Begonia "Big" which is available by seed, and many of the supertunia are from the same plant breeders as Wave (Ball) and seem only slightly improved over their f1 EasyWave seed crop. Most of the proven winners begonia are seed crop. Their sunflowers are as well, and next summer they're releasing (Proven Winners) an extended proven winners seed line that I believe will have a rebranded wave petunia seed.

  22. Vinca works great in a slope, I put some in a steep slope and it was great to grow quickly and keeps the weeds down

  23. Kneeling pads are sold out. Boo hoo! 😢Been waiting to be notified when they’re in.

  24. “If it makes you happy, you should do it”… What a GIFT for you, Laura that your husband tells you this!! 40:41 ❤❤❤

  25. Seize the Gray, owned by 2570 people won in a Triple Crown Race on Saturday. Mystik Dan, winner of the Kentucky Derby finished second…alive to race again. 70 like in the 2570 owners…is important number in Book of Daniel, a holy witness that interpreted dreams.

I think those horses shared the burden of the high from being a winner after so many horses died last year. Kind of makes u feel better seeing bible signs after disaster…when think give up.

  26. Boxwoods in the cut flower garden? A lot more work to trim. How can you see your lower growing flowers???? How would you set up walking lanes??? Maybe you mean to have boxwoods just in the inner rows??? Having boxwoods around the center of the beds along with the fountain or other interest and benches may be a happy medium. Just some thoughts.

  27. I think the boxwoods around the cut flower garden would really take it to the next level (as if it isn't already amazing) I don't personally care for boxwoods in my gardens but it would absolutely fit right in with the rest of your landscaping

  28. @kristywhited8857 I swept up a trashcan full of helicopters from my Missouri Red maple this year. Sort of a pain but I wait till most have fallen and then it isn't a big thing. Still have those that fall in my beds and sprout…good thing about that is I always have starts to plant somewhere else or give away!

  29. Will miss your Community College episode this year. It’s always been a favorite, but certainly understand why.

  30. You can get garlic smell off your fingers by rubbing them on stainless steel. I know that that sounds strange, but it works!

  31. Please continue to plant THOUSANDS of plants and IGNORE the haters!!! We LOVE everything you do Laura!!

P.S. someone told my son they grew supertunias from seed. I said, "Dear, no they didn't." "They grew petunias from seed!!!"
