  1. Your new editing software is nice. The fades in and out and the out of focus backgrounds make your production look fantastic! Of course your garden is well done too. Thanks for your efforts. As someone who has worked in landscaping, these videos are a great way to stay in the loop about the industry. I "retired" a few years ago. So I only maintain my friends gardens. Ha! You never stop but your body tries it hardest to convince you otherwise.

  2. The allysum takes over anywhere I put it …and it was told me by a nursery man that once you plant allysum you will always have allysum ..good thing we like it on just under an acre…zone 7❤

  3. As I see your south garden taking shape I keep thinking how cool big rocks and groupings of rock would tie things around your property, add fun places to climb and sit for the kids and create habitat for other beneficials. ❤❤❤

  4. Living in Scottsdale AZ, I'm surrounded by Agave & Mangave. Mom made sure of it. Just stunning.

  5. 🤔when you filmed the mangave straight on, you lose sight of it because the black elderberry behind it is almost similar colour.💜

  6. Seeing that you aren’t changing out all the soil in the planters makes me feel better about my plans to do the same this year. 😊 Could I ask why you didn’t top them off with compost instead or potting mix? I was thinking the compost would charge up the soil a bit more, but would it compact too much over the season?

  7. I really enjoyed the filming of the big black pots, the music was good and not speeding it up was nice to watch!!! I have been watching since the days of your townhouse and I always am still learning about plants I would love to plant at my house 😊 As always way too short, I could have watched forever, but I always think that way when it comes to Garden Answer videos!!

  8. Beautiful, as always! Those mangaves are pretty amazing looking… almost looks like another era to have one of those showcased. You are the goddess of gorgeous flower arrangements and containers … but after you getting me hooked on the notion, I found myself thinking a touch of chartreuse like those sedums might have sparked your purple and white theme. I guess it was more somber than your usual. 😉 I have a theory that the older we get… especially when doing the mom thing… the more we want soothing and not quite as much stimulation … music, color… whatever. You might not be there yet! 😉 😀 (Maybe you'll never get there with your two adorable and well behaved children.)

  9. The mangave is such a stunning plant on its own especially in the elevated urn planter… thank you Laura for not gilding the lily and thank you for inspiring us all to garden!

  10. I was thinking the same thing about the lovely music and our lovely Laura go so nicely together!!! And the man gave was STELLAR IDEA IN THAT URN!!! WAY COOL! Love you guys! Glad ur was a bit more comfortable today than it was yesterday! ♥️👩‍🌾♥️

  11. Does anyone remember which Superbena Laura had last year, a purple one, that got HUGE for her? It was near the Hartley……

  12. Love! What is the bright yellow foliage plant next to mangave? I shy away from yellow foliage as in our area it just looks like a sickly plant. That one looks very intentionally yellow!

  13. I love the piano background music, is it you playing your piano? It would be wonderful to hear your music with your videos.

  14. I was happy to hear you talk so honestly about the changing out of soil and how it has evolved based on your experience. “Book”recommendations are one thing, but experience is everything!

  15. Where is the signature sweet potato vine?! Just kidding 😊 I love seeing the new arrangement—inspo for my planters this year! Long time viewer, thank you for sparking my love for gardening ❤

  16. Love purples and white. I too, prefer subtle colors. But the mangave…wow! it is stunning in that spot! So beautiful!
