New growth is fine, you might remove the buds so they don’t sap energy makings handful of berries this year. I’ll pay off next year when you have 2-3c instead of 1-2. If you can be patient, you could do it next year and get an even bigger bounce in year 3.
The only thing that looks odd is the lack of leaves. Mine (~10 varieties) leaf out before getting flowers at this stage.
Other tips:
1) watch and move the ties periodically to be sure you don’t damage the plant
2) check your ph, or just grab some acidifier and follow instructions. Pots are easier to modify than in ground, and acid makes blueberries happy. For non fruit growth, use a normal general fertilizer this year.
3) prune to shape so it’s sturdy and helps with 4)
4) make a little fence when the berries start forming so the birds don’t steal them. In case the leaves are being eaten by something, it’ll help too.
