Guys- if I graft a tip of say a 4-5 inch seedling. Is the remaining 3-4 inch headless rooted seedling still viable and worth growing for new baby pups or bigger stalk?
Or is it best to utilize the whole seedling and possibly do multiple grafts and toss the roots?
Does that make sense? I don’t want to sacrifice a good seedling for one little graft – want to utilize it to its full potential… 🧙🏼♂️

You can cut that into 10 grafts, but yes, even tiny unrooted sections will root and grow oftentimes. Whether it’s worth your time and effort for such a small plant to recover is the real question
Edit: I see you said it’s rooted, yes the roots are the strongest portion for new growth. Repot and let it pup again.
