Just finished the hardscape on some jars I’m giving away to friends!

I've made 12 little mossariums out of standard pantry jars. I've never done anything like this before so this is a bit of an experiment to see how they turn out.

I first stained and then varnished the lids with a few coats of yacht varnish, then siliconed the hardscape in place. Tomorrow I'll be wrapping the wood and stones in live sphagnum moss and adding miniature plants such as fittonia, mini orchids and ferns.

Does anyone have any feedback or tips for me before I move to the next step? What other miniature plants/mosses would work well in these?
