I watched a couple of vids on grafting and slab grafting seems to be calling to me. The vids I saw didn’t say anything on the length of the graft just that you don’t want to bend the graft with the rubber bands, so I was wondering if this graft is too long of a slab for the root stock.

Way too much scion. Next time you can cut the slab the width of what it’s laying on. Also would use more even/wider pressure to hold the scion. Slabs I like to get a flat cut on the stock and put the scion slab on it without over hang.

It’s perfect! Don’t be afraid to add more pressure to guarantee fusion. 🤙🏼

I’d have cut that scion in half width wise but that should take. Good luck
