i dont know what this little guy who is wriggling in my pond ecosphere. heres a couple others in there and if it helps it was a pond in the pnw in US.

My believe it’s……pixelated. A video taken on a camera this decade or a still photo will probably get you more results sorry :/

The mosquito larvae that I am familiar with don’t swim at the surface like this – they are constantly diving and rising. Perhaps, if this IS mosquito larvae, it is trying to make final molt and take flight. I’m just not convinced it is a mosquito.
