S2 Ep. 3 Sharing our winter plans for a spring garden area

Hey guys wild Alaskan Homestead just thought we’d give you a little bit of a update of what’s going to happen this Springtime after the Winter’s over going from these trees right here back in that way 250 ft kind of towards those tall trees there sorry about the focus we’re going to go back

In there 250 ft and then go across 250 ft down this way I’ll just let you enjoy the snow for a little bit we’re going to take out several of these trees for logs for The Sawmill the big ones and uh we’re going to have the Garden area across here and I’ll take

You down here and show you where it will end up at 250 ft is quite the area for a garden especially if it’s 250 by 250 some of these trees a couple of them will be kept in the garden area just to make it a park-like setting where the trees aren’t interrupting the

Sunlight and then we’re going to bring the uh bring it all the way down here hi Enis here’s my buddy Enis comes out with me make sure there’s no bears moose but anyway the 250 is going to go about right in here and we came from all the way up there around that

Corner so now we’re going to go 250 ft in that way about where that Crooked Tree is at right in there and we’re going to have a greenhouse over here a greenhouse over here we’re going to have a 50 foot chicken running between uh between the green houses and

A moat running around about 2 2 and 1/2 ft wide for the chickens to walk all around all all four sides and have a gate in the front where we can get a tractor in if we need or trucks for truckloads of wood chips and then we’re going to take the

Logs out of these trees here leave the branches in there we’re going to chip all that up we hope to have 6 to 8 Ines of wood chips in the garden along with soil build up our garden with wood chips put a 9 to 10t tall fence around

It but that’s what’s going to happen in the spring hope you guys stick with us we’re going to have the forestry Mulcher he’s our neighbor uh Jason he’s going to come up and Forestry mulch for us that’s why I’m going to try to get these logs and

Branches down get the logs out of there they’ve got equipment to pull the logs out for me but this is going to be a beautiful area to have our garden and we’re going to keep those three tall trees up there around that corner that’s what we call

Horn hor at corner right there you can kind of see the P this Birch right here we call it Hornet Corner because there’s a big hornets nest up in there and it just seemed fitting to call it that and it’s on the corner of our driveway our driveway is about 350 ft

Long we’ve got it curved so people can’t look down your driveway and come down and steal stuff from you seems to be the uh case for people nowadays anyway hope you guys stay with us and watch us put up our greenhouse and stuff beautiful snowy day today January 7th and nicolis
