Hello and welcome to Local Marks Fishing!!

All Rose Hips are edible but the sweetest and most mouth watering ones are those of the Wild Dog Rose plant: (Rosa Canina). These can be found on woodland walks, along hedgerows (or in this case) along a river bank. During the winter when the bush is nothing but a tangled mass of prickly stems you can see the them easily. They are a stunning bright red against the backdrop of the foliage. You want to select the ones that are a darker red than the rest and have a wrinkled leathery look. These ones contain the incredibly sweet paste. An easy test is to gently squeeze them all to find the soft ones. The rock hard ones are no good! Rose hips are incredibly high in Vitamin C. You can forage them and freeze them to make a syrup or just enjoy them on the spot. You will be blown away by this hidden delicacy! Get yourself out there and give it a go! Thanks for watching!!

I would like to extend my thanks to the haters. Knowing that there are people who want to see me fail in my passion is what gives me the additional drive I need to make my channel a success.

Down by the creek checking out the river levels and I noticed there’s some rose hips over there by the water there’s also some here what they contain within is edible and I’m going to show you so once you found your rose hips you want to find one that’s nice and soft

There’s one here that’s perfect where it joins the bottom of the rose hip from the stem pluck it off like that now get it between your fingers like this they’re full of seeds so this is the way to do it to avoid the seeds and get the juice within put it between your

Four fingers and squeeze it like this it’s finger looking good
