Found 3 blobs around my river ecosphere that look like this under a handheld microscope. What are they?

   They are peritrich ciliates. single celled. Could be something like vorticella. Tap the glass and see if they contract or not, that narrows it down a bit. And if they have one stalk per ciliate or if they share a stalk.

   And looks like the worms feed on them.
