I accidentally rotted my Philodendron Billietiae. I’ve cut off all the rotted parts and treated the plant roots in a hydrogen peroxide bath. I’ve put the plant in water overnight. Here’s my question: In order to restart this plant, should I just leave it in water for a few weeks until more roots develop or should I pot it up in Aroid mix? What is the most effective way to restart a rotted Billietiae? I’m also adding a picture of a yellowing leaf. I assume that was caused by the rot and I should just leave it until it drops off?

Personally, I like using chunky perlite (or a perlite / fluval mix) and treating it like leca to rehab plants from root root. I’ve never lost one using this method.

That said, there’s nothing wrong with rooting them in straight water either. I probably would *not* put back into any kind of soil until it’s got some more established new root growth.

    Good luck! 💚🌿
