How do you tell if a plant is dead?
If your plant has lost all of its leaves or the leaves have all gone yellow or brown, don’t panic. even if a plant looks dead, doesn’t mean that it is, the fastest way to tell if it is dead is to check the stems. The stems of the plant should be firm and pliable and will have a green cast on the inside if they are still alive.

If the stem is brittle or mushy, check the roots for the same conditions. The roots, too, should be pliable but firm. If both the stems and roots are mushy or brittle, the plant is dead and you will simply need to start over. Don’t beat yourself up!!

  2. Perhaps you may not be aware of the condition in my city (Lucknow, India) which it goes as hot as 46°C = 114.8°F with extremely dry weather in summers these days (May & June) but I request your valuable advice if you can.

I have 5-6 Azaleas in my home and here they come quite expensive. In this extreme weather almost 3-4 have died or look to be almost dead. I had brought them inside room to protect 2 weeks back but it was perhaps too late by then. Now two of the plants have all leaves dried but twigs are still flexible (showing some hint of life). All others have turned woody and twigs break also look dry from inside when I break. Can you please suggest any good way out to REVIVE the plants that may still have some life? Also any special care you can suggest for future? I'll be highly obliged.

I used to face the same problem with Geraniums too but this time I brought them in the room when I brought Azaleas and all plants seem to be surviving except one that still has some tiny leaves but otherwise almost dead.

  3. Matthews is our brown they seem to have no slapping them are they still alive or what I’ve got him down a bit but then a bad winter so I don’t have the live or dead futures can you hel

  4. Thank you for this great video thank you so much! I need a purpose for life since I can't work anymore or move fast so I'm trying gardening for the first time this year. The words on your video move much too fast for me though, I just found it too hard to keep up with your wonderful information. I wish you would talk rather than type it out. That's how come I go to YouTube so I can actually see and hear it. Otherwise I would just do a Google search to read an article but I can't read and retain very well anymore. But I do have a brain lesion in the pons of my brain so I'm not very fast it could just be me! Thank so much! 💗
