I just cut off a huge vine from the mama plant and decided to propagate. I read that you’re supposed to cut and make sure there’s a node on each clipping. I placed them and water about two days ago and the stems are turning brown. I need some help or any advice please! Pics added!

This looks normal to me. The brown areas are the old sheath the leaf grew in and are no longer needed. All my pothos have these brown areas on the stem bases, not just the props. It will take a couple weeks for roots to grow on your props but pothos props super easily! You will see roots soon!
The part you see turning brown not the stem, it the petiole. You can remove the dark part if you want. Just give it lots or bright light.
