I love your thrifting video commentary! You have a great eye and have so many creative suggestions for the use of each item.
That little jar with holes is a garlic keeper
That was an old Avon cologne bottle I’m pretty sure and a lot of them are worth some money
Sometimes the water scale comes from washing them in the dishwasher. I have had this happen several times and cannot get it out either!! Trash they go.
You probably already got an answer to the glass frogs but my Grandma always told me they were called glass frogs because they live in water like a frog. lol
Linda, I love your YouTube channel. Been watching you for years. You are so kind and classy. Thank you for all your wonderful information and ideas. Love your knew home. It's absolutely gorgeous! And I love your neighborhood too, so beautiful! Thank you for all you do!!
Many of the ideas from your viewers will work to remove cloudiness from glass; however, if you have extremely hard water, the cloudiness may have been etched over time into the glass by the minerals in the water. It can’t be removed by ANYTHING at that point.
Love going thrifting with Linda, Leah, and Stewart. I thoroughly enjoyed this video and you gave us so many great ideas about how to use items you find at the thrift store 👍🏼👍🏼😊
What a fun video. I especially loved the fabric. Your Goodwill definitely has better finds than mine!! 😉
Linda, can you please show us how you keep your arms toned please and thanks! 🙏
Trivet… or cabinet inserts for storing plates book-satyle vertically)?
On my clear baking dishes I use a magic eraser. I’d try it on the vases.
Use an SOS pad on those vases.
Hard water stain etching. Don’t think there’s a cure it just has to be prevented. Zone 6B…is it fall yet?
It’s WHEN you have grand babies. We all know that you will let us know if there’s any good news. And omg STOP with that table runner!!
That was fun! Thank you for sharing
Thoroughly enjoyed this video, so beautiful, thank you!
Santa bottom so cute.
Santa stocking great for wine.
Hi Linda 😊 I am new to your channel, and I love your videos they are so cosy and the styling and thrifting is fun and inspiring 😊. A tip for removing the rim on glass vases or drinking glasses is to use vinegar, just fill it with vinegar or put tissues soaked in vinegar and let it sit for a bit before scrubbing it off gently so it doesn’t scratch, but you might have tried that. Have a lovely evening. Kind regards Helene from Denmark 🇩🇰
Love the table runner….pillow…Jean patch. Those colors are amazing. I love thrifting and my adult daughter is finally on board. I’ve told her for years to buy great vintage furniture for pennies on the dollar. Quality is so much better than most things produced today.
Use denture cleaner to rub the residue in vases Drop 2 tabs & fill with cool water, let soak-
There's an excellent product for removing adhesive and labels. It's called Goo Gone Pro-Power. There are different versions of Goo Gone but the Pro Power works really quickly and efficiently.
LOVE the show idea with Stewart and Leah being interviewed by Linda!! Also, let me just say that your GOODWILL store is AWESOME! And, as usual, I cannot wait to take a day and go THRIFTING!! LOVE the Santa bowl…hope that made the cut!! And the fabric….STUNNING! So many great ideas!! LOVE it when you go thrifting and share all your fabulous ideas!! As always, much love and blessings…
Sure
to get the cloudy off get the pink stuff it works and doesn't even take much if any elbow work … work so great on my glass shower doors
Ha Linda !!! I so love you and the time you placed and raised your boys in the home you left and sold to a younger generation. She has tore the generation you raised your boys in the home and the gardening front and back. It just hurts my heart the time ive followed you it tore apart inside and out😢😢😢😢😢😢
She is so annoying her decorating ideas are so dumb and tasteless. She thinks her ideas are creative and brilliant, And her daughter who has no spine to tell her mother. Linda, your decor ideas are crappy.
Linda: Oh Leah, a rod this would be great in the bathroom when u can't get that one piece of crap out of your azzzz. Leah: hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
A Scrub Daddy, HOT water, dish soap, and vinegar might clean up a cloudy glass vase without scratching it.
Try using a brillo pad on vases 👍
Maybe use CLR to remove the hard water rings from flower arrangements left to sit in the water too long.
Baking soda and soft scrubbie.
Always thrift alone.
Try white vinegar on the glass vases it helps remove hard water.
I use Lemi Shine on my glass ware when it is cloudy. Mix with warm water and let it soak.
Try magic eraser
Try vinegar to remove cloud from vase. Trying mixing with half water half vinegar. U may have to do vinegar ony. Let sit 519 to 15 minutes, pour out n wash with warm water n dish soap.
The vase looks cloudy from hard water minerals.
Just found you, loved your basket hunting!Love how we think about good reasons, talking ourselves into a new treasure.
Vinegar usually works for me
Try nail polish remover
Love big baskets. Put a large basket in a concealed place and when you bring in the mail before you set down any junk mail you can put it the basket 🧺
Linda, to remove the hard water mineral stains on glass, try vinegar and water. If that does not work, visit your local glass company for their cleaners for hard water mineral deposits. I've worked in a glass company, and we install glass shower enclosures. People often had one that we remove that had been ruined from those stains and they want what we have been using, Showerguard glass, that's not going to have those stains. Please try this and you should be happy with the results.
I love you, but I cannot believe you have never seen those Avon bottles they are everywhere. lol
The cloudiness is called “sick glass” it cant be removed
Avon bottle
You can paint it
Use (limeaway) in a green bottle for removing hard water scale from what ever your vase your coffee maker.. when tap water evaperates over n over you'll get that. Use a soft scour pad to scrub. Not SOS pad! Steel wool will scratch. Also different fyi laundry bleach will remove coffee stains in cups n cleans your kitchen sink
Bicarbonated of soda-rub it on the marks with a damp cloth then after a few minets sprinkle vinigar over it. Always rub gently let it soak in warm water with dish soap in it & bi-carb leave it it for you an hour.
Always rinse & put a little bleach in with your flowers it keeps them fresh
