We’ve had a lot of rain the last few weeks, and it really helped my field corn. Most of it is over 8ft tall and tasseling. The ears will be coming on soon. I planted a tomato patch with nothing but heirloom tomatoes. Then I got busy and didn’t have time to take care of them. So I decided to put wheat straw around them, and just let them sprawl like we did when I was growing up. With all of the rain, we lost some to splitting and bugs. But the production was still good enough to get a nice first picking. There will be much more in a few days. The peaches and cream sweet corn is doing very well. It’s all tasseled out and the ears are coming in nicely. Navajopa31 sent me a rabbit, not that I needed any more. And we’ll see what happens when my shoes get soaked from the rains and I have to go barefooted. LOL
