  1. Here in California they have to "limb up" palm trees @ $1200.00 ….yes…..$1200.00 per palm trees. (ones you can no longer reach up high enough to "limb up " yourself any longer BECAUSE although lovely… Rats….Yes…..Rats .. scamper up them and use the older fronds that are hanging down to hide in ….to nest in ….and to have more baby rats in ….and the cycle continues… .SO next time you look at that lovely row or orchard of palm trees….think again about the maintenance cost…. PER palm trees…and the costs keep escalating for that as well as everything else before buying that beautiful palm tree and think about rat population per plant๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  3. Use bobby pins to hold the tiny strawberry plants in place. I've done it for 60 years with great success. And it's thrifty. Dollar Tree often has hair pins.

  4. I have a greenstalk and did not have good luck with strawberries. Only a few strawberry fruits. Used organic espoma potting mix, regular watering and plenty of sunshine. Every year it seems to get fungus knats, and by the time I see and treat it, the plants do not produce well. ๐Ÿ˜ข second year trying, and no strawberries…

  5. This is one of my favorite videos you have done!! Question.. to make sure I understandโ€ฆ. The strawberries MUST be taken outside and experience a cold period for them to produce next year?? They canโ€™t be grown year-round in the greenhouse for continuous production??

  6. WOW! 101๐Ÿ˜ฑI would be BEAT RED and dripping with sweat๐Ÿ˜…! โค๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ™

  7. Forget raised beds, especially for your situation. Dig a trench 2 or 3 feet next to a row of strawberries. Voila! No kneeling.

  8. Now I need a GreenStalk , Iโ€™ve noticed my strawberry patch looking awful and they must be all petered out .Thanks to Lauraโ€™s suggestion I ordered Seascape Strawberry plants in spring and got a lot of runners already now , thank you ๐Ÿ™

  9. I look at that Green Stalk and wonder if it would just be a beacon to the squirrels and chipmunks who have prevented me from getting a strawberry harvest 2 years running.

  10. Glad I'm not the only one who uses the "Let it grow and see what happens" method of gardening. LOL

  11. Buy a Green stalk for Strawberry plants for spring 2024 โœ”๏ธ
๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“ I will definitely do that! Thanks Laura.

  12. Put the little runners in a glass of water and they will root in the water. When you see roots plant them out in the garden bed or a pot.

  13. I have 10 greenstocks getting them ready fall planting watching you for spring with the strawberry ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

  14. I use the large paperclips to hold the plants onto the soil when trying to propagate the extra runners in the pots.

  15. You talk about things the kids like to harvest. You could do a "Top picks for harvesting with kids" video and include plants like carrots and strawberries.

I'm always looking for ways to get the kids in the garden.

  16. Wish I had enough sun to grow berries! Question: does that humongous squash vine produce anything? I may have missed this but wondered what it was.
