I posted this as a comment a few days ago, and I was encouraged to post it on its own.

I bought a pack of Yoom last winter and I thought they were cute. I normally save seeds of everything I buy and try to grow it next year. This year I sowed… 12 sorts of tomatoes and all came out!! I had over 120 seedlings which I gave to family and friends.

The Yoom are a nice looking plant. One of the plants grew particularly tall and is giving lots of fruit. Might be that they are hybrids and not always true to seed, or that that plant has a better placement than her sisters, because it’s at the front and gets more sunlight, but it seems she’s… the chosen one.

I noticed the fruits grow in bunches, as a cocktail tomato, but they ripen evenly, unlike other sorts

*-* DISCLAIMER: I’m not an expert by any means, I just like tomatoes, they remind me of my dad growing them in my childhood, and I stumbled upon a wall in my small garden where tomatoes party like freaking ravers, so I just grow them. I will join this sub to try and find out WHAT I’m growing, since as I said, I buy them, eat them and save the seeds. So I apologize if I say dumb and obvious things, and appreciate constructive criticism and tips. I’m here to learn 🙂

So as I was saying, they ripen evenly, so I have now some bunches that are nearly black on one side but almost green on the other, I tied them up a bit to try that they receive more sunlight, but they’re still half-half. (That’s when I found this sub). I harvested some of them now and placed them in a windowsill with the green side facing up.

I still can’t say anything about the taste because they aren’t ready yet 🙂

I will add more pictures in the comments
