  1. Sweet Autumn clematis. It is pretty but unfortunately, it is highly invasive.

Sweet autumn clematis. Taking over is right, they are invasive.

Invasive that’s all you see anymore. Big fucking deal, it’s a plant. Get over it. It’s a very beautiful plant at that. Leave it where it is and learn how to trim it back and maintain it. All exotic or other plants used in landscaping is a weed or a “Invasive” plant from somewhere else. Just learn how to work the plant and enjoy the beauty in it instead of worrying about it being “invasive”.

I thought jasmine… do the flowers have a gorgeous scent?

  5. Yes it’s non native and “invasive” but it was clearly planted to be ornamental on your railing. I love it and would keep it.
On the other hand you may have some invasive trees in the background that I’d look at.

Do not tear this down!! It’s a gorgeous climber that bees and birds love. I have one in our backyard too & the scent carried in the air 🙂
You just have to trim it. They’re pretty aggressive & require pruning twice a year but they produce so well it’s entirely worth it.

Also known as honeysuckle. But yes very invasive. And all you have to do is keep cutting it back after flowering. Or in the spring before it puts out new growth. I absolutely love the smell. But if I didn’t keep after mine, it would grow out of control.

I’m in south Jersey and this crap spread *everywhere*!! Don’t be fooled or tempted by it’s beauty like I was, I’ve been battling this stuff for 4 years now and it’s winning.
