Super interesting! Fairly confident it’s a virus.

As others have said, it’s a virus. The virus overwinters in plant debris, including the roots, and in the dirt. So to prevent it from coming back next year, pull up the plant, roots included, and burn or trash, no composting. Don’t plant your tomatoes in that area next year, and sanitize your equipment in the fall/ after you’ve disposed of the infected plant debris. The fruit is still edible, but will be much less than from a healthy plant.

It is the oracle! Tell us oh wise one! What does the mighty fruit say!

Pysanka. Some Ukrainians have sneaked into your garden and been painting your tomatoes.

That tomato definitely has caught ring worm. Get it some ointment asap. Poor thing.
