Hi, has anyone had luck with Euphorbia Mammillaris (Indian Corn Cob) before? I saw a very big, very full pot of it in a Home Depot for only $25. Fell in love with it, brought it home, and then a couple of days noticed it was rotting. I know Home Depot workers are always overwatering plants, so I assumed it was just that, and went back to a different HD, returned it and bought 2 new ones (figured I’d have a better chance with 2) and the same thing happened. A few days after bringing them home, I’m seeing the rot start again. I didn’t water at all, so I know it’s nothing I did wrong, as I didn’t do anything but relocate them. I pulled the two out of their pots, and the soil isn’t super soaked, but the potting mix is entirely peat moss. Not a speck of perlite/pumice/etc. in sight. I’m fairly certain this is the cause of all the trouble, but has anyone else who has had this plant noticed whether this plant is particularly sensitive to water? Could I be overlooking another cause for rot besides the obvious water issue?
Thanks!
