🌸 Exploring the Neighbourhood’s Front Yard Gardens 🌿
Laurelle took a stroll through the Clayton Heights neighbourhood, giving us the opportunity to admire some stunning front yard gardens. The diversity of plants and the unique combinations were truly a sight to be seen.
Join us as we explore the floral wonders that caught our eye:
* Hydrangea Anabel or Incrediball: The walk began with a gorgeous hydrangea Anabel or Incrediball (both are beautiful varieties!). Its delicate blooms stood out against the lush backdrop of yew and camellia. This placement is perfect, as it receives the morning sun and enjoys some shade in the afternoon.
* Fig Tree: Our eyes were drawn upward to spot a fig tree gracefully peeking above a fence. Nature’s generosity knows no bounds, and fig trees always add a touch of rustic charm to any garden.
* Lace Cap Hydrangea: Our hearts skipped a beat when we encountered a massive lace cap hydrangea. The intricate details of its bloom and the arrangement of the flowers were awe-inspiring. These hydrangeas are not only visually appealing but also attract pollinators, making them a wonderful addition to any garden.
* Blue Cypress: A striking blue cypress caught our attention. While it may require some extra care, this stunning tree thrives under an overhang, basking in the sun, and finding shelter against the house.
* Clematis: Nature’s artwork graced our path as we spotted a beautiful climbing clematis rambling on a picket fence.
* Ash Tree: An ash tree laden with berries was a marvelous sight. The thoughtful placement of this tree added to its beauty, creating a harmonious combination with the surrounding elements.
* Hibiscus: Our journey reached a new peak when we encountered a magnificent hibiscus. The vibrant blooms added a burst of colour to the garden, captivating both human admirers and pollinators alike.
* Fairy Garden: We couldn’t believe our eyes when we discovered a thoughtful fairy garden, complete with a puddling station for butterflies and other insects. This garden center’s dedication to supporting local wildlife was commendable. To our delight, the puddling station attracted some paper wasps. These buzzing beauties play a crucial role as pollinators, contributing to the health and vitality of the surrounding flora.
The neighbourhood walk was an absolute delight, with each garden offering something unique and captivating. We hope these glimpses into the gardens have inspired you to embrace the beauty of nature and perhaps incorporate some of these stunning plants into your own garden oasis.
Remember, a garden is not just a collection of plants; it is a living canvas that reflects the soul and passion of the gardener. Until next time, happy gardening! 🌼🌿
