I got this phal in April when it was in bloom. The flowers fell off naturally during summer and while repotting it I find out the old bark had some moldy spots. Now it’s growing a new leaf but I’m wondering if I should be concerned about that black coloration on the stem. Any suggestions on what’s going on?

Following. Some of those roots are half dead so you need to change something but I wanna see what the experts say.
The roots in the middle of the pot will always be yellowish since they aren’t exposed to light like the outer roots. They look very healthy to me. The stem colouration doesn’t look concerning so I would have continue your care regime the same way, your orchid clearly loves it!
Looks good to me! 👍 you’re definitely doing something right.
It looks like it was time to repot, but it’s okay! Some of the roots look like they may have been burned by salts in the water (brown spots), but don’t cut anything unless it’s mushy! If it has a healthy green end, even with a questionable spot in the middle, I always leave it. I bet it will love its new potting media and show even more growth for you!
