This is my aunt’s thanksgiving cactus. This isn’t a bloom and has been on here for a while. The plant is healthy but doesn’t have any other of these or any “blooms”. It’s bright pink and hard/ not squishy— seems solid and no layers like a bloom would have.

I’ve looked for online for answers but can’t find anything. It’s mid summer so shouldn’t even have any blooms. It’s blooms a whitish/pink during the holiday.

You’ve got a fruit!! I thinks it’s a little uncommon, I have 4 plants and only saw a few fruits.

  2. I agree with the other guy. iya a fruit. its pretty rare since the flowers don’t normally get pollinated indoors.

Tell it to produce more fruits, & then you can make jelly out of it. 😋

Cactus fruits are so yummy, I eat them as soon as they’re ripe

  6. Fun!! This makes me want to cross-polinate my cacti to grow some fruit.
