I keep the plant next to an east facing window, she gets sunlight until about noon. The newest leaves are standing tall but a few leaves have been drooping. I water about once a week now, I feel the soil about 2 inches deep for moisture before watering.

What could cause this?

Also what causes smaller leaves to start growing at the base?

Last picture is the newest leaf and all her fenestrations 😊

Thank you for the help in advance!♥️

with east facing window it should be placed where it’s getting all of the sunshine with closest leaf two feet away from window . After a month or so sitting there you can move it close as a foot

It can go drier than some 2” rule – especially if your substrate is coir – as coir can seem dry but is still holding moisture

It also doesn’t look like your soil is very well amended – with bark and large #3 perlite
Especially moreso being that I just noticed your pot is just terracota colored not real terracota
    *which Monstera loooove*

Are you feeding it also btw – if yes with what exactly

Tps Monstera , or second choice dynagro foliage pro.

And once again you don’t need to water so often if it’s only getting morning light
But when u do water kinda slow , and water thoroughly
