AZ.. I’m a mail carrier and see these cardons and saguaros are falling over but it’s mostly saguaros, on my route, right on people’s yards.. Also agaves are dying.. What’s going on? We had a strong heat wave as expected but don’t remember breaking records.

Not from Arizona, but apparently nights for you guys have been too hot for too long, preventing even native cacti from completing their metabolism cycle (CAM photosynthesis), weakening them and causing them to collapse. A symptom of climate change.
