I had a jalapeno plant that was producing fruit with horns. A lot of people were interested in seeds, and I said I would check in on the plant after I got back from a business trip to Asia. They got no care while I was gone, but luckily most of the fruit survived.
While I would’ve loved (LOVED) to send seeds off to the 500 people willing to pay, I do not think this is genetic and don’t want to rip anyone off. The peppers that were produced from flowers the came after a bit of a cold snap do not seem to have been affected in the same manner. The normal looking ones in the second photo are from flowers that blossomed after the cold snap and didn’t come horned.
/u/Lpappy and I think someone else were clued into the idea that this was because of the cold. Thanks.
