Started a pond sphere and a forrest sphere yesterday. Any tips for keeping pond snails alive? I dont want to lose him

    Tis a biggun! Obviously the jar is way too small for it. Here’s a pic as a comparison to show the proportion of jar vs snail. I would say yours needs at least a 5 gallon.

    I am breeding ramshorn, bladder, trumpet and mystery snails…haven’t come across real pond snails yet, but they should have the same requirements as bladder snails food wise with their main diet being algae and decay..

    I feed mine in addition sinking pleco wafers, but only pieces of it..just as much as they eat within one hour. Anything leftover will be removed or it’ll cause a bacterial bloom.

    I also feed raw peas (peeled), piece of carrot, kale, spinach, broccoli and even a tiny piece of cooked chicken for protein.

    I also add extra calcium ever so often for the shell.

    What about pic 3 and 4? That’s not a pond snail.
