This is my Disocactus anguliger. We got it in April as a birthday/remembrance gift after my father suddenly passed away.
It was obviously very mature when we purchased it. The workers at the store we bought it from were all brand new so couldn’t tell us much about it’s blooming history. We live in a 5th floor corner unit with lots of windows, and I t’s set back from a large window that faces Montreal north, which is really west northwest, so it gets a lot of indirect sun later afternoon
This morning when watering it I noticed dozens and dozens of these fuzzy balls between some of the teeth. Are these buds? I found a lot of photos online of blooms but can’t find any of buds

This looks possibly like spent flowers? Considering it’s maturity and consistency in location around the plant and where the flowers form, I’d say this is a safe bet. Don’t go off of just my response, wait for others input as I am no expert!
