  1. What is your hope for the pond area to look like 5 years from now as far as plants naturaralizing on their own? 😊❤

  2. As I said before it is just now how Laura does things, without preaching she shows how to plant tidy and mess-free. I start digging holes and then remember Laura using a planter to keep the dirt from digging. Saves me time later and makes the planting look neat and tidy

  3. So fun watching it all come together…Love that broad spade! you are digging with! (trowel?). Is there a name on it?

  4. Oh Laura and Aaron, your gardens are looking so beautiful indeed, but my goodness I absolutely LOVE your pond even if it does have a slight orange tinge at present, I simply LOVE it!!!
Our days are very slowly lengthening which means once through August and into September, New Zealand, in the South Island anyway, will be into Spring basically. August is often the worst part of Winter here, but some of my Bulbs are blooming already as if they don’t realise this is not the weather for them yet lol. Bad weather last week had me picking those flat out on the lawn where the heavy rain had pounded them so I had beautiful spring perfume I’m my house but I should have put them far from the heat pump so they’d have lasted a little longer.
My two cats are very damp with todays rain again.
Oh my word, I’ve just watched your Video again and I have to say how very much I truly LOVE your new Pond area. I absolutely LOVE it. As I’m now in a rental home, for the first time ever, I can’t build a Pond here sadly. I do have a small fountain in a large bucket on my patio to give me an illusion of running water though. Lol.

  5. Its so interesting! Here in New Zealand, it is illegal to possess, transport or sell Koi carp fish.😊💜

  6. I'm so glad you are loving your yard. Thanks for taking us along …
I have a Bushes Lace Engelmann Spruce and am wondering if I need to continue staking it so it doesn't lean over or contort like you described with the White Pine in this video? It's probably about 10-11' tall at this point and the top has gotten a little wiggly looking this summer above the 7' level, which is not staked at this time.

  7. Tannins in the water are actually very beneficial for a new pond! Fish get protected from the sun, wich makes them less stressed and reduces algae growth! My pond also had bright red water in the start from the woods but it usualy goes away in some months.

  8. Loving the Alpine look of the pond area. Can Aaron do a drone flyover for us to see?

  9. Have I not been paying attention? Love that the Gator has a shade roof. Oh! And the Adirondack by the pond is perfect.👍

  10. I soso love your videos…. the pond is magnificient!! I never miss a video!! Wondering if Laura ever went back to the dentist to get the fillings fixed?? Love you guys!! <3

  11. I love all the amazing new things you guys are doing!! It’s so fun to watch it all come together😘🤗🌸

  12. If I was playing basketball on the neighbor's court behind the pond, I would purposefully miss the backboard to have an excuse to come on over to retrieve the ball and catch a glimpse of the koi!

  13. Boulders are a must for every yard. If you want water lilies to bloom in your pond they need sun. Just a ,FYI.

  14. Your pond looks so amazing. It is so nice to see some rocks and some change in your terrain with the berms. Your yard is so flat and this makes such a difference in the landscaping. I hope you do some more like this.

  15. Hi Laura and Aaron! I like the plant/tree choices and where you planted them. That area is so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing!

  16. Watching you plant in time-lapse looks like an Olympic event – Speed Gardening. I
The surgical neatness with which you place things in the ground is a study in efficiency. Very satisfying.😊

  17. Hey Laura! Gorgeous pond! 😍😍😍 Let your viewers know that Bluestem grasses are easily a zone 3 plant. I’ve had the Little Bluestem variety here in zone 3a Interlake Manitoba for several years and it is beautiful, hardy and
    reliable!! 👏👏 This spring I
    planted
Blackhawk Big Bluestem and they are already shoulder height!
I also read that native bluestem once covered the Great Plains of N America and fed the teeming seas of bison! Cool.

  18. u could never guess, how much pleasure, fun, knowledge, heart warming family dynamics u bring to this platform. i never imagined to follow anyone on a daily basis, but mother earth knows, i do. thank u so much for your content and your joy and failure that you so willingly share. we get something good from it eitherway. keep being so authentic in that plastic world- though you might could not act in any other way. much love from berlin. it´s time for merch.

  19. The pond has turned out beautifully! The birms and rocks create such definition and visual interest, would you consider adding some to the south garden as well so that you can create more secret spaces and pathways?
