  1. Nice video, but this is definitely way overdone and overcomplicated. Its nice you have all these fancy tools and helpers, but you could do all this with nothing but a drill, saw, glue, pencil, and measure tape. Sandpaper as well if you want to finish it. It would be more beneficial for anyone looking to follow your videos to make their own version if you cut down on the amount of tools and simplify.

  2. As soon as he started cutting metal my dreams of making this were crushed 🤣🤣

  3. Great video but dude that's not how clamp angle in a saw should be clamped l>l that way on

  4. I’ve just made some planters. A lot more hours than you think, plenty timber and over 100 screws.
Anyway I folded my liner over the main part of the box and then fixed my trim top on. Staples are so weak and rust to mush. Top tip from me 😁

  5. Hahahaha I was feeling sooo good after the 1st minute and then esteem was completely destroyed when all the equipment came out! 😂😂😂… Had to watch it till the end.. a GREAT looking box.. 👏👏👏👏

  6. Great build! I would use landscape fabric instead of plastic on the inside , the roots need air to breathe for better root growth :).

  7. Great video now can you make a DIY video. It would be helpful if you could do an idiots guide on a budget and building this with a handsaw, cordless drill, plastic mitre saw, wood and galvanised screws 😂

  8. It's like I cut and mowed and made, It was like I was there, great work.
I also have a channel about photography and travel. I take work like your videos as an example. I'll be your follower.
    Congratulations.

  9. Use some commonsense when you say "DIY" dude. People who own these hybrid woodworking tools and machines are pros. Your build is good but don't say its "DIY" when you use your laser pointed Mitre saw for basic cutting.

  10. Amazing build and I will be building 6 of these this weekend and first to use metal so wish me luck! Great and Informative Video!

  11. You've just spent 3 days and 200 dollars worth of materials to make a 50 dollar pot. On top of it, you didn't handle it against wood rot, and you left nice little gaps and crevices everywhere so that water can stall in it and cause further rot. You didn't attach the plastic foil properly between the decorative top and the top beam, and it's a thin material that will quickly tear further, especially under a gardening shovel.

As a gardener/woodworker, I'm unimpressed. It's unnecessarily complex to build, and it's not built to last. It looks good, for like a year, then it's a goner, to rust and wood rot.

  12. I'm so sick of these "How to# videos fail to include a cut and material list in the description. His link goes to his website that is filled with more self-promotion… 🙄

  13. Nice design. As I have been assembling, I have discovered for me that the steel corner leg holes cannot match same on both sides or the screws will intersect with each other, so I will need to offset vertical distance of holes on the alternate side. I am using 2×6 recycled cedar lumber and also slightly thicker screws. When completed, I will will be happy with the results.

  14. Hi Johnny, we are a factory who produce metal products for planter box, we can improve your metal corner with our rich experience for sure. Maybe it's also a good business for you, you can sell on your channel. let us know if you have interesting about it.
