I’ve been doing a lot of reading and haven’t found a lot of information on this, so I’m wondering if sny of you have stumbled across a study looking at this.
I read through this:
https://www.mdpi.com/2071-1050/12/23/9939
It had some great information and shows that low PPF during a long photoperiods had a positive effect of the development of the plant.
I have read a number of studies that tested different light treatments and their effects on yield, but haven’t seen anything specifically about high DLI.
I’m doing a 5 month crop cycle indoors so any advantageous information would be welcome as I love to eat peppers daily.
On a side note, I see that blue light can really shorten internode length. I’m using spider farmer LEDs and have decided to dim them as my plants are ridiculously compact, but now I’m curious if it’s because of the light spectrum. Will be interesting to investigate that further!
