Them onions look amazing I done white onion sets and there not much bigger than when I planted them 😂 I think you mentioned in another video blood fish and bone for them ? Ive used it in with my potatoes. The weather here in Ireland is awful also. Was meant to be revealing some potatoes and carrots but far to wet and windy to film outside. Need a greenhouse for next year I think. Another great video Ivan I'm learning so much 😊
Hail stones are the worst, but rain aside my plants are just gasping for a bit of good sun 🙁 Hope it gets better where you are. Good on the onions, that's the idea not to have to buy at the store!
Ivan a massive tray of my mixed lettuce got drowned in water from all the rain we had all night and all today plus i made a big mistake, I forgot put holes in the bottom of the tray.
Thanks for the update Ivan, great harvest. Rain stop play here, no gardening today. Enjoy your your harvest.
How can you pick that blackberry and not pop it right in your mouth?Great onion harvest. We have a chance for rain today also. Keeping my fingers crossed that we get some. I don't want the hail though. Glad you can move plants in to protect them.
I need to get better at planning my sowing, it's either a feast or famine. Really like the idea of having onions all year. I've done sets twice now and both times the reds aren't as big.
Thanks Ivan, the weather is terrible at the moment but at least you've got some nice harvests though. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Fabulous onions. You’re lucky to have a spare greenhouse to put all your plants in. I’ve had to tie my staked beefsteak tomato to my bird feeder pole because I was worried that the stake wasn’t going to hold up in this wind. So far it’s been ok, my toms are just starting to colour up so I would’ve been gutted if it had snapped.
Awesome harvest Ivan. The weather is pretty nasty here on the outskirts of London, I hope it passes soon for all of our gardens sake. Take care.
Those red onions look lush, I'm going to give those a go, were they sets Ivan. Crikey the weather today has been horrendous here today, it's been hammering it down & windy, I had to go out & tie my potatoes back, & sheltered the big tubs of carotts as they're very small just yet, all the same I love it, thanks for sharing Ivan always a pleasure…
Great harvest Ivan.
My tomatoes are just starting to change i am so chuffed. The weather has been horrible for the past few weeks hasn't it 😂 my cucumbers are loving it though, they have really thrived in the rain weirdly lol. I love your container onions 😊 I am so jealous you have courgettes, mine have only had male flowers for some qeird reason … still no sign of females. Amazing video as always!
The wind today picked up one of my sunflowers and threw it like a javelin across the garden 😮
Can't wait to harvest my onions. First time I've ever been successful with them. Starting from seed was a winner.
The weather is not so good for July. My solar gen is way down so what the sun is not doing to my plants must be significant. Good deal at my local Homebase, Jacks Magic compost, I’ve been using it this year and like it, it quite fine. Homebase are selling 3 for £15 usually £10 each. Stock up friends.
What a fantastic harvest Ivan. I'm so inspired by yr video's. Our diet has got so much healthier from being motivated by yr channel. Our experiment of growing on our unused front drive is better that we expected. With planning we now only have to garden for l hr every other day and harvest/ cook on the other days. We shop from our garden containers every other day. Tonight's Sunday tea was prep yesterday for spinach bacon quiche, mixed salad, herb coated salad new potatoes will be followed by raspberry choc brownies..a meal fit for a king, half ingred picked from our garden & cost very little.
Fifth heatwave predicted for the UK… hopefully this one will materialize 😂… last four never reached West Yorkshire 😮
Wow derful onion harvest Ivan, very well done. I find the red onion sets also produce disappointing results, I do to know why. Funnily enough the best red onions from sets have been grown in containers. Those grown on my allotment very disappointing. Good idea to sow some more. Thank you for sharing your work. Paul
Hi Ivan. What is the size of the green washing up bowl you use please? Fantastic harvest.👌Thank you for your videos. 🌱🍅👍
