  1. Good morning Ivan. Those cherries you borrowed from your neighbor's tree look yummy. Going out to put up more shade cloth today. I've decided I might plant some squash seeds for the fall.

  2. I have a cherry tree, plum and apple in my front garden. I hang CDs up, remember those things people used to listen to music on! to try deter the birds. Unfortunately can not do anything about this dam wind.
Notice the picture change. Im getting ready for my chanel, if i get the nerve.
    Happy sowing.
    Maria

  3. Ivan can you help me with this question please., l want to sow veg now for autumn /winter harvests , as l like to make lots of soups, stews, winter veg bakes etc…so iv ordered seeds of greyhound cabbage ,green curled borecole, maincrop carrots, turnips, winter spinach and winter onions..Do l sow these to keep them n my green house till ready to transpalnt ? or do l keep the modules/ small pots, on a stand outside . l want to be able to transplant the seedlings into my containers as they become empty but was thinking would my greenhouse be too hot to keep the seedling in ? or do l keep them outside on a stand till they are ready to transplant. Sorry not sown seeds before in july/august so its all new to me. Sorry if you have already mentioned it before.

  4. Thanks Ivan, for more great tips on what to sow next and the cherries look lovely, have a great week. Take care and all the best. Stevie

  5. Great update Ivan. I did exactly the same as you tonight, ie sorted through my seeds ready to sow more direct on Monday. I do, however, always use cloches as it really does help to speed up germination. Thank you.

  6. Ivan, I have bone / meal fertilizer 2-5-3 in my cart to check out online. Is this the right NPK for vegetables?
    I've never used fertilizer before.
