  1. Love this channel. I think the courgettes have not been pollinated. Maybe try and hand pollinate the fruit baring flowers using the male flowers with a cotton bud or small brush and see if that makes a difference. Great video again.

  2. The courgettes do that because the female flowers haven't been pollinated by male flowers . If the insects aren't moving pollen you may have to do it yourself with a small paint brush

  3. It has really been fun following you from the start of your plantings to the ending of many of them. Can't wait to see the rest of the harvest and then what you start for fall. We don't start planting for fall until the heat breaks here in Texas. Many of our brassicas will grow over the winter as well as our lettuces with covering when it freezes. We also grow our garlic and onions over winter.

  4. Thanks Ivan, for another great tour around the container garden. Sorry don't know anything about growing courgettes, I only know what I've learnt from you. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Wish I could do more container gardening but I cant get rid of the vine weevil no matter what I try. They're relentless every year. The only success I have is in my large raised beds and with things planted directly in the ground. Theres more roots than they can munch through then! Your container garden looks great 😊

  6. the courgettes are aborting fruit because there isn't enough soil in the pot to support all of them just leave one or two on and they won't drop

  7. Hi Ivan. Thank you for showing the onions. Mine are same as yours. One or two are huge some are smaller. Some have bent over, but I'm going to leave them a while.
I was watching a cooking channel of yours regarding sandwich spread. Gosh that took me back in time.
Bit mad your cucumbers have actually got cucumber on
Mine seem to be way behind.
But I have to plant everything in straw bales as I have no soil. Most things are doing brilliant in them.
Also I was watching another guy who hand pollinated his squash if he has problems. Maybe you could try that.
Many thanks again for the onion show.
    Maria

  8. Love this set up. I aspire to have a container garden like yours. I think my problem is knowing when to plant things so this year I've kept dates of everything so I can adjust next year.

  9. I had a pumpkin plant that did what your courgette plant is doing. I did eventually get a few pumpkins on it that stayed and got big.. I really wasn't sure what caused it either. Just utterly baby the courgettes you see.

  10. It is strange how a day of overcast and a bit of Yorkshire drizzle boosts your plants. Mine are looking better today having a break from the sun.

  11. Thanks Ivan, for this brilliant update on the container garden, everything is looking marvellous. Take care and all the best. Stevie

  12. Looking good Ivan. 👍 I've got everything in containers as I'm still waiting for an allotment. I shall definitely be carrying on with it even when I do get my allotment. My onions are doing way better than I thought. Thanks mate 👍
